So .... where are we off to this time???

Our long-awaited trip is about to happen!!  And another MODRA ADVENTURE will unfold!!

Initially, John and I were interested in a small group 3-4 week tour to the Wendish Heritage places in NE Germany/NW Poland scheduled for April 2025.  Each of the participants on this specially-designed  bus tour would visit the little villages their forebears left when they headed, under persecution, for Australia in the 1850s.

Then, the opportunity arose for John to attend the ARC Conference in London - the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship, a kind of conservative think-tank - the only problem being that this was mid-February.  And this arrangement would mean that we'd be going into a European Winter.  But, we figured that, since we live in Colac, we can "do cold" quite well.

Well, we haven't been on one of our Aussie roadtrips for a year or two, so we figured we'd have a go at a British roadtrip!!  The plan being to spend Week 1 in London around the ARC Conference, then move on to 5 different areas of the UK and spend a week doing little road trips as the whim takes us.  I "baggsed" two particular locations, being the Isle of Skye (my heritage on my mother's mother's side) and the Northern Ireland (on my mother's father's side), each for a week.

Somehow, a little Danube River cruise found its way onto the itinerary after the Wendish Tour, as well as a few days on the Barcelona side of Spain to chill a little before we head home in mid May!!

So, on 14th February, we'll head off from Daniel and Martha's to Tullamarine Airport for our Emirates flight to London.  We'll miss those guys terribly (and anyone else who's following this too!)  What we are bound for, what we will see, who we will meet, and what ADVENTURES we'll have are all in God's hands. If you'd like a fuller itinerary, I can email one to you - or you can just join us as our 3 month expedition unfolds ....
